Biography

Sabino de Bari is an Italian guitar player and composer.  He graduated in composition cum laude and in classical guitar. As a performer, he is interested in improvisation techniques applied to contemporary music.

His piece “Nubi”, for string orchestra, has received the honorable mention at the “Premio Sinopoli” 2017 competition. His piece “Gloucester” for orchestra, has won the third prize of the “Premio Abbado” composition competition (2015 Edition).
Sabino’s music has been performed in Italy, England, France, Austria, Spain and Mexico.


He released the CD “Pas de Chat” (2010) for solo guitar and the CD “Voices” (2012) for ensemble, for the label “DODICILUNE Edizioni”. Among his published works, the guitar piece “Valse des Troix Oisons” has been included in the “14 Selected Pieces By New Composers” collection, presented by Leo Brouwer for the “Roberto Fabbri Signature Series” (Ed. Carisch).


 As a performer, composition teacher and guitar teacher, he has been involved in several international guitar festivals.
